Digitech -The Pong Game
Today in Digi Tech we created a game called the pong game. To create this game we went on a site called scratch. I really enjoy creating this game because it was fun seeing what I could come up with.
My Pong Game
Today I was learning how to use scratch to make a pong game. I really enjoyed using scratch because you get to use step by step instead of watching videos and getting confused.
I hope you enjoyed my game.

Science Lessons with Mrs Tofa & Miss Stone
On Monday room 7 students had science Intensive with our teachers Miss Stone and Mrs Tofa. We were put into 2 groups, group one and group two. Who ever was in group 2 had to go down to room 3 with Miss Stone and Mrs Tofa stayed with group one in class. Juring this week we have science intensive week were we do science in our class rooms.
In group one we had to do a car experience with Mrs Tofa. In the car experience we had to read a paper that had law 1,2 and law 3. The first law we read was law 1, it was about force and inertia. The second law was about acceleration and the last law was about when the force is pushing the other reacts.
The girls got to build the car first and the boys did the Sir Isaac Newton quiz. After that we swapped over the girls did the quiz and the boys finally got to make their car.
Here is the steps to make a car:
Step 1: Get a few straws like about 4 or 5
Step 2: Cut the end bits of the straws that you don't need to make it shorter.
Step 3: Then get something for the balloon to hold on,
Step 4: After that tape the bottom of the balloon to the cardboard box so it can hold
Finally step 4: Blow the balloon big so that it can push your car far.
In the end of finishing our cars the girls and boys raced. The girls put their car in the middle and let go of the balloon so we can see how far it goes everyone and the teachers we yay, Then the boys put their cars in the middle and they failed we started laughing because it was so funny, they tried again and it did a front flip....
I had so much fun on monday with Mrs Tofa and I learnt so much about that yesterday.

Shark finning
Shark finning
Why people cut off the shark fins?
Reason:They chop off the fins to put it in the soup, the Japanese eat it to look rich.
Reason 2:They shouldn't chop fins off because it kills the sharks and we don't want the sharks to die.
FACTS :They chop the fins off while the sharks are still alive. Then after they chop all the fins off, they kick the shark's body back into the water and it can't swim. Then it ends up getting eaten by other sharks or other sea creatures. The chinese kill over 1,000 sharks a month, they leave the blood all over the boat.

kiwi can
After morning tea💧my class and I had Kiwi can in room 11. Today we had miss tua and mr nubia. Our theme this term was Resilience which means never giving up and our topic was goal setting which is like setting a goal for yourself to achieve.
In Kiwi can we played an activity that had something to do with goal setting. The game was called the peg challenge. The aim of the game was to get as many pegs as you can from each person you are versing against. The game plan for that game was to get as many people as you can within a minute.
Mr Afutoto is a very cool tutor, because he is very funny, smart, he also has awesome comebacks when some boys*wink wink* think they are all that. Also because he is one of those Kiwi Can leaders that knows what we are thinking of or what goes through our heads because he use to be a teacher who use to teach year 7's and year 8's like us. Probably he still does but I'm not sure. So yeah!
