Scratch: Platformer Game (Pixels) - Tim
Still a work in progress, it is based on the Movie Pixels and the game Pacman. I am trying to make it similar but not exactly like it

Part A
What is the purpose of the different features of a basic platformer game?

Sprites/Characters
|
Sprites are like the main character. It is being controlled by the arrow keys to complete a level or to move on the next stage.

Background/Backdrops
|
Backdrops/Backgrounds are the scenery to know what is happening in the level or to understand what’s going on to understand the level

Obstacles/Objects
|
Obstacles/Objects help make the level or game more challenging for the player
|
Commands - Click/space to start
|
It starts the game
|
Commands - Arrow Keys to move
|
The Arrow keys help the sprite move from one place to another
|
Commands - Mouse to control
|
Using the mouse to control what’s going on in the game
|
Commands - Space/Arrow keys to jump
|
Using Space or the Arrow Keys to jump over an object or obstacle

Music or Sound
|
Makes the game more interesting and sets the mood

To know if you have completed a stage to move onto the next

- Find three different platformer games that you like the look of.
- Copy and paste the URL of the platformer games into the table below.
- Fill in the table to identify the various attributes or features of the different platformer games.

Using the information in the table, make a list of the Key Specifications of an platformer game. Key specifications are the attributes or features that occur in all platformer games, and which you think are important to the platformer game design (function and look).

Conceptual Statement
In the context of (Travelling) I will design and produce a (Platformer Game) for (Everyone: Including Me) to be used (to entertain).

Obstacles, like buildings will make the game more challenging and make it hard for the sprite to get the other sprites
