Existing Outcomes


Part A

What is the purpose of the different features of a basic platformer game?

Attribute or Feature
Purpose
Sprites
Sprites are when a person plays the game and they know what to do
Background
Backgrounds is when a person playing and to give us an idea of the game
Obtusus or object
Obtusus or object is to make the game more challenging
Commands : Click/space to start
Starts the game
Commands : Arrow key to move
to Move the characters anywhere
Commands : Mouse to control
To jump onto the platform
Commands : Space/arrow key to jump
Control the game with the mouse
Music or sounds
To set the mood and make them relax
Mission/level/stages
So the game isn't in one big level and the players in moving to different level
Colours
To set the theme in impressions and to make the game more interesting
Titles or instructions
Lets the players know what to do and what game we are playing
Lives
Keep the score and to tell us how many lives that we have left
Score and Points
To tell us how many pints and score we have collected in our games


Part B

  1. Find three different platformer games that you like the look of.
  2. Copy and paste the URL of the platformer games into the table below.
  3. Fill in the table to identify the various attributes or features of the different platformer games.
